The Spirit of Saint Olovald

Here's the Olovald (coz I couldn't fit 'Spirit of Saint Olovald' on the name plate) in dock. (It's the brig model from minimi.co.uk.) I had loads of fake canvas left over from the module frames so have used that for flags and sails. I've folded the flags around metallic wire (from the Craft Store) and tied that to the poles.

For the sails I've just folded up pieces of canvas and tied them up with the wire. The wire was used for the rigging, too, which is not supposed to be any sort of remotely feasible rigging. It's just supposed to suggest the notion of rigging, while not getting in the way.

The building on the left is supposed to be a templar HQ, or similar, and was made from Zvezda castle bits. The clock tower and watch post module is based on the bird's eye view illo in the Winds of Magic WFRP3 adventure. And the building on the right, I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be, but I need to make a banner, or something, to cover up the door to nowhere.

The bird's eye view of the pieces makes me think that a three year old applied the mud.

Fighting Pit

Here's a fighting pit for the entertainment of the Moedlhafen populace. Two plastic Empire militia enter, one plastic Empire militia leaves. The netting is from a Waitrose orange bag. I also made a couple of free-standing bits: a stand, which can double as seating for my theatre, and a pie kiosk, which can double as a pasty kiosk.

Watch House

Here's my watch station. It was designed to stand on its own or as a section of the city wall. It's made from the usual plastic sheeting and GW tower bits. The four wanted posters on the wall are supposed to be the PCs in my WFRP game. I should probably invest in a decent printer, which would bring all sorts of opportunities for signs and posters, etc.

Dwarven Drawbridge

Here's my dwarf-engineered, steam-powered drawbridge. It's based on an archway and turret from the Zvezda Royal Castle, with some bits from various model railway kits, and pipes made from mains copper wiring. The drawbridge actually draws, although I don't supply pictorial evidence.

Slumming It

Here's a tight grouping of buildings for that classic Warhammer slum feel. These are resin casts which I bought off a bloke on the internet. Unfortunately I've lost the guy's details.
