More Moedlhafen

It's been a while since I've updated on Moedlhafen. Here are the modules I've been working on. (I've actually been doing more Flames of War stuff than 28mm fantasy recently.) I thought I'd spruce the place up a bit with some more upmarket areas so have been working on a temple. It started life as a classical Verenean type place, but because most of the bits and pieces I have collected feel Sigmarite, it will probably end up being dedicated to that god.

I made a square with a bunch of statues to go with the classical idea. These are ancient Greek and Amazon figures in 42mm from Irregular Miniatures Ltd.

I've nearly finished this graveyard which is 95% the excellent GW Garden of Morr. Just have to paint the skulls!

This inn complex is actually one of the first buildings I started for the project, but it's so huge I keep finding better stuff to work on. But I made another effort with it last week and so it is now foreseeably finishable.

Flames of War British Paras

Haven't done much Moedlhafen recently. So here's my Flames of War airlanding company. I went for an autumnal theme for the terrain, to go with Market Garden's September timing, although I may have overdone the orange.

Dwarf Aircraft Carrier (Finished)

Here's the finished item. Not quite what I was thinking. It came out more industrial than warhammer-y dwarf-y, but that's what you get for using railway kits and double-diamond deck plates. The graphics on the landing platforms aren't H for helicopter, they're the dwarven rune of Iron, of course.

Dwarf Aircraft Carrier (2)

Here's the thing painted and with a bunch of plasticard deck plates added. I'm gonna stick an organ gun in the front turret. I just recieved a bunch of dwarf pirates and rogues from Black Scorpion for crew.

Do I have the messiest work station ever?

Dwarf Aircraft Carrier (WIP)

I've just started arsing about with a Dwarf aircraft carrier to launch my Gyrocopters from. I found some old frame of a railway bridge, which I had started as part of a failed drawbridge idea. It formed quite a nice angular frame which was about the right size. I didn't really have much of an idea of what I wanted except it had to have four paddle-wheels. I'm thinking the control station will be on the top of the transparent box, and the landing platforms will be on either side, with a gun at the front. Atm, it looks more like a formula one car than a Dwarf boat, though.
