I found these resin vehicles at the club's table top sale for a decent price. They painted up ok, and I feel like they work well as part of my Blake's 7TV rebel and Federation factions. The bloke who was selling them had a load of different stuff like this, and now I wish I'd bought more off him.

Spaceships (Part Two)
Finished my spaceships, mostly. I didn't find a decent shape to go on the top of the front bit, but I need them for the weekend, so went with that.
Jenna looks like she'd be able to fit in them, anyway, with a bit of a squeeze.

Spaceships (Part One)
I decided to build a couple of small crappy spaceships for my crappy Blake's 7 style federation base terrain. I couldn't find any suitable hairdryers, so went with these old mini Dalek remote controllers. These won't be anything like pursuits ships, but there were any number of small planet hoppers and orbital craft used in the show, which these should work well enough for.
I used the same bits and pieces for the ship as I did for the rest of the base to keep a homogenous design aesthetic (but mainly coz they were handy).
I'm happy enough so far. They seem to fit into the Blake's 7 look quite nicely. They're almost finished, but I think I might add some sort of cockpit type bulge at the top of the nose to give the crew somewhere plausible to sit if I can find the right bit.

Door Molds
So, I decided to make a few more bits of my crappy Blake's 7 style federation base terrain. One of the themes is the consistent door pieces, so I needed to cast a few more of these. I've not really done any molding or casting except this door.
I made a bunch of molds of the door using some Japanese plastic clay stuff. You just heat it in boiling water and then you can press a shape into it. So I made this styrene press tool thingy.
I started this a couple of years ago, and so was happy to dig the stuff out of the back of the cupboard to find the resin and molds all seemed to still be in excellent condition.
Simply mix the two-part resin together and...
...pour into the molds. You can get an adult to help you with this, if you like.
It's supposed to take about 24 hrs to dry, but I found it needs a bit longer than this. So, hopefully, in a couple of days I will have a bunch more doors to add to my scenery.
I believe this is exactly how the BBC did it in 1978, too.

B7: Hostage (Part Two)
Blake's crew and some local resistance fighters have broken into a Federation base in an attempt to blow it up and rescue Professor Arkan, who may have knowledge of the location of Star One.
However the Liberator crew have walked into an ambush. They fight back but Gan is cut down by a mutoid.
After a brief struggle the crew exact their revenge. Surely nothing can now stand between Blake and Professor Arkan...
As the crew pile into the headberry purification plant, Vila manages to slip past them almost unnoticed.
There follows a massed gunfight between just about everybody.
Travis finally manages to get his revenge on his deadly enemy, by shooting Blake with his Laseron Destroyer.
A mutoid spots Vila but misses him.
One of the Prydan People's Front finally remembers the victory conditions and goes off to sabotage the power plant.
Meanwhile Vila sneaks up the stairs and deals with the last line of defence to the interrogation suite.
One of the mutoids is killed, and Servalan orders the rest of Travis' mutoids to watch her back as she flees the scene...
...leaving Travis all alone against the remaining crew and resistance fighters. Cally gets the honour of finishing him off.
Vila deals with one of the mutoids, but the other is able to delay him long enough for...
With a blown up Federation base, a liberated professor, and two captured scientists, the result is a total victory for the rebels, but is it a Pyrrhic one? With Blake dead and Servalan free, who can now stop her assuming the presidency and ruling the known galaxy?
