Ahhh...Martian Blue Vine. These vines lie normally on the ground...that is until someone walks over them when they suddenly shoot rigidly upwards closing around their unlucky victim. They remain rigid and upright until the victim dies when they fall back to the ground benefiting from the decomposing bodies rich nutrients.
